The Ruta’s Closet Podcast: Explores the Holocaust

An important podcast series that explores the Holocaust lessons to be learned from the pages of Ruta’s Closet.

The forthcoming podcast series, now being recorded, will soon be available on all popular download platforms. Now take a look here at its special features and check back for a launch date  announcement.

Co-author Keith Morgan reveals in interviews with podcast producer Bill Barnes where his research led him in the writing of the stories that populate Ruta’s Closet.

Ruta’s Closet is a treasure trove of important topics for discussion by those with inquiring minds.

The events and people featured offer opportunities for challenging conversations about such matters as the ethical choices forced upon the Jewish authorities in the Shavl ghetto and its leaders. Their decisions were often terrifying and haunted individuals for the rest of their life – those that survived the Holocaust.

And readers can place themselves in the shoes of the Kron family, considering what they would do if faced with the same circumstances.

In the coming months, this section will be populated with thoughtful commentary, essays by learned historians, genealogists and ethicists, questions to ponder, suggested subject matter and, we hope, your observations.

In the meantime, you can listen to Ruth’s children Elana, Marilee, Michael suggest talking points in every episode of the Ruta’s Closet Podcast. And be sure to check out Ruta’s Closet Talking Points Guide, developed by the Vancouver Holocaust Education Centre.
